Step Out on Faith and Live Your Best Life

By Misha Palmer

Are you ready to take the next step in your life? Do you want to venture out to do something totally different than what has become your norm?  Maybe you’re bored with your present career – perhaps there’s a budding entrepreneurial spirit inside you just waiting to come out.  Well, what’s stopping it, what’s stopping you?

Many of us have subconsciously and consciously reduced our lives to mediocrity out of plain old fear.  We hold back our greatness not because of lack of money or a network of support, but because we’re afraid of what others might say, how we might be perceived.  “The fear of human opinion disables; trusting God protects you from that” Proverbs 29:25. But mostly the biggest fear of them all, failure.  We create these fears and allow them to prevent us from living our best lives. We allow fear to stand in the way of not only our greatness, but also our happiness.

It’s time we stop.

God had planted inside us all a spirit of greatness.  We have all been given seeds of purpose making us all capable of achieving success in our own God-given right and time. If you ever stop to observe and feel the energy that radiates from someone who has been courageous enough to follow their desired path, you can’t help but to see and feel positivity – you can see their happiness.  But what makes them any different than you and I?  There’s only one word—faith.

Most people who are living their best lives not riddled in fear probably hold Hebrews Chapter 11, verse 1 near and dear to their hearts:

“Now faith is the substance of things hoped for, the evidence of things not seen.”

They have chosen to not be fearful and to instead to move forward and take steps in faith knowing that what is for you will be for you and only you. Regardless what any thinks about what it is you want to do in your life, if God has placed in your heart to do it, you must have faith and trust God and do it.

Having fear does nothing but stop our potential from growing and moving into the next phase of success.  Potential can take you only but so far.  But if you step out on faith and push through the fear the potential to write that book you’ve been dreaming about can easily become your reality.

Faith doesn’t take away the hard work to make your life all that it is you want it to be.  It helps you to face those fears that are stopping you.  It shows that you do not trust yourself or man to get you to the next step, but God. It doesn’t mean that you will not fail, it simply means that you will push until something happens, you will keep going and not grow weary go in a due season you will reap a harvest.
