From Amazing Grace – The ROHO Devotional Series
Read: 1 Samuel 30:8, 18-19
I’m tired of things that I care about being taken away from me. These are the things for which God has blessed me to possess: my mind, my heart, my life, and my family. Yet, somehow the enemy finds a way to attempt to grab a hold of these things. Through stress, pain, and confusion, the enemy attempts to take possession and inhabit them. How many times have you looked up and everything around you was going amuck? How many times have you lost control and worried if it will made right again? These are the things that worry me daily.
Yet, I find so much peace in knowing that the things that I may have lost at the hands of the enemy, I can recover. The promises of God throughout Scripture reminds us that though these trials and tribulations may come, we can rest assured that we are more than conquerors: in the end, will fight and win. Though it often does not look like it, we have a Savior fighting with us to take back the things that we have lost. Our minds, our hearts, our lives, and our families does not have to be held captive anymore. Today, we can proclaim victory, trusting that we will recover it all.
Beloved God, As I moved through this life, keep my mind so that I may be able to fight against evil in all its form; Taking back all things to bring glory to your name and have peace, once again. In the name of Jesus, I pray, Amen.
