Meet: Dr. Eboni Marshall Turnman
Dr. Eboni Marshall Turman is a fiery minister bringing social activism to the pulpit. Additionally, she is an author, the Assistant Professor of Theology and African-American Religion at Yale University Divinity School. Her refreshing thoughts on race, gender, inequality and mass incarceration make her a stand out millennial voice bringing a Christian perspective on issues facing the African-American community. Dr. Turman quickly responded to our five pressing questions.
What is your favorite Sunday dinner?
Anywhere with my family, and with someone else doing the cooking.
Who or what first led you to Christ?
My favorite bible verse is Luke 1:45, “And blessed is she that believed: for there shall be a performance of those things which were told her from the Lord.”
What’s your favorite pastime?
My favorite pastime is dancing – anything that involves dance.
What do you think you’d be doing if you weren’t a minister?
If I weren’t a minister, I would be a DJ. I love music; I love celebration; and I love to keep the people dancing!
